Log Rot Repair Before and After, Alberta
A very serious log rot problem on this log home in Manitoba, had affected the majority of the logs on the lower portion of one corner of the home, all from a leaking down spout that had gone unrepaired for some time. How long the spout had been leaking was not determined but the log rot that had developed was severe.
One thing was for sure. If we didn’t stop the rot and repair the log home, the damage would continue to spread and could eventually compromise the structural integrity of the entire corner, risking a partial collapse of the building.
